Some men just want to watch the world burn... [16 Jul 2008|11:47pm]

So I figure, since I nerded out about it for well over a year, I might as well tell you about the best movie I've seen all summer.

The Dark KnightCollapse )

The Dark Knight is a great film. Period. Forget that it is based on a comic book. Forget that it is a "summer blockbuster." Whether you are a movie buff or a just a casual viewer, you will enjoy this film. If you dig non-stop action, you will dig this movie. If you like a little moral behind all that non-stop action, you will find one here. If you love being mysteriously drawn to the edge of your seat, hands cupped over your face in shock you will love this movie. If you love just being plain entertained, this film will not fail you. See this movie. See it on IMAX. See it more than once. You might have to in order to truly take everything in. And trust me, it will put a smile on that face...

I'm just making an observation here but...Some of my friends thrive when it comes to drama. I just don't understand it sometimes. How something that can be fixed so easily, something that can be mended with a single apology and a little understanding gets dragged on for so long is ridiculous. And to bring others into the equation...I don't know. I'm staying out of this one dudes.

Saturday was awesome though. I love how RxB can just take me to another place, even if it's for just an hour. No matter how far, no matter what temperature, as long as they are playing I just love life. I'm a bit bummed I'm missing most of their shows while I'm in England, but then again I'll be in England. So no worries. Afterwards I was at Andrew's pad and that was a blast. No snide remarks, no quarrels, just straight up good times and good laughs. I hope to have more good times like this in the future.

I have a paper due on Wednesday...and then another next Wednesday. As much as I dread these, I know it means I'm coming to the end of the year and I couldn't be happier. Summer, you can't come soon enough.

Oh yeah and the new Death Cab is good. Like, really good.

And hey, I choose my company by the beating of their hearts, not the swelling of their heads. [15 Apr 2008|08:35pm]

So I figured since I'm procrastinating on my computer I might as well do something semi-productive. Hello LJ.

Life has been good to me lately. I think one of the best parts is that I've gotten to see all those close to me quite a bit these past few weeks. It's a great feeling seeing someone you haven't seen in a while and just enjoying their company. Take X-avier for example. Great guy, easy to talk to yet I haven't hung out with that douche for a while. I did so this Saturday and it was good times. Been seeing the ol' high school buddies quite a bit lately as well. Love those guys. And then of course the usuals. Always good times with them.

Bamboozle Left last week was a trip man. It was like my high school music CD collection all in one festival. Super good times there, probably one of the best two days ever for me when it comes to concerts. Saves the Day-You Vandal makes Aaron a happy man.

England is a go. I'm excited. Scared. You know, all that stuff. It's going to be the farthest I've ever been from home. And I'll be pretty much alone. Can't wait.

The new Thrice album is the shit, Air is fantastic. I love those guys, can't wait to see them in a month. Facing New York is Friday. Excited and sad at the same time, as Matt is leaving. Therefore everyone should go to the show, trust they are awesome live.

I've got the musical itch going again. I'm trying to decide how I want to go about scratching it. I've got some ideas for a "solo" project, I guess one might call it. But I'd love to be in a band again. I don't miss my old bands though. I miss the people yes, of course, but I think trying something new is always what I've been looking for. I'll figure something out. If anything, it'll happen after I graduate. Wait, didn't I just do that not so long ago?
